We provided specialist bid management support to the Atkins Defence ICT and Joint Programme Account area.
Situation
The ICT and Joint Account was going through a particularly busy time with several high-profile bids running in parallel. At that time, they lacked the necessary experience in-house to manage the bids and engaged us as a trusted provider to work within their core team.
Task
We were briefed to manage several bids running in parallel, embedding members in the team to ensure deadlines were met and processes followed efficiently.
Action
We provided specialist bid management support to the Atkins Defence ICT and Joint Programme Account area and provided a specialist bid manager to work within the ICT & Joint Programme team to coordinate and manage a series of bids. We also worked with Directors, Account Managers, Technical SMEs and supporting technical staff to develop proposals for specialist services to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Information Systems and Services (ISS) clients.
Results
We immediately slotted into the ICT and Joint Programme team having worked with many of the team previously. Our team understood Atkins’ internal processes and were able to add value immediately. We managed a diverse bid team and co-ordinated multiple contributions into coherent bids.
