Finn joins us having recently graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Computer Science with Industrial Placement. He completed his placement year with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he worked on containerising data storage platforms using Kubernetes and Docker.During his placement, Finn also developed his leadership and communication skills through the networking and social strand of the Early Careers Committee, helping deliver a career development curriculum for an incoming cohort of more than 50 students.
Finn’s final-year project focused on characterising bacteriophage dynamics using time-lapse microscopy, making extensive use of machine learning and image analysis. As an interdisciplinary project, it required creative problem-solving and adaptability, ultimately leading to a novel approach within the field. Finn is keen to apply his technical and problem-solving skills across a range of projects at ApacheiX.
Outside work, Finn enjoys running, hiking, and camping, especially when there’s a good view. When indoors, he can usually be found tinkering with custom watch builds.”
